Note that NEMA receptacles and circuits rated for 50 amps or less require expensive GFCI breakers and charging stations do not mix well with GFCI breakers. We’ve also seen NEMA recetpacles melt due to the length of time they are in use. The best option is a hardwired 60 amp circuit to avoid the GFCI breaker that will cause nuisance tripping and avoid the NEMA receptacle which is an unnecessary connection point that can melt.
